Jayboa

I had decided to go down to the beach and sunbathe as the sun set over the ocean. I didn’t see my sister and Jethro anywhere as I laid my towel down. Of course I had my phone and my gun with me. In the back of my mind I was worrying about Jenny and Jethro. Before I had gone down to the beach I had heard Kate’s inquiry along with her telling Abby and McGee about her boyfriend. It looked like the women of NCIS had things going pretty well for them these days. Before long Balboa came to join me on the beach.
“What’s with the worried look on your beautiful face?”
“Its more of a concerned look than a worried look. You should know that by now.”
“You’re wondering where your sister and Gibbs are?”
“Is it that obvious?”
“Yes it is. So is there any reason why you came down here, besides checking up on your sister and Gibbs who are fully capable of taking care of themselves.”
“Well I had a feeling that you would follow me and that would lead to other physical pursuits….” I answered with a come hither look on my face.
“You did, did you?” Balboa said as he wrapped his arms around me and we kissed.
“Of course I did. That’s the other thing; I’ve got to stop being around Tony when he is trying to get Ziva into bed with him.”
“So what you are saying is that you are ready for us to…..”
“Basically. What are you waiting for? I’m lying here in a bikini on a beach.”
Before long Balboa and I were reenacting the ever popular beach scene from old movies between a man and a woman. Some time afterwards Balboa got dressed and I put my bikini back on. Once I was back in my beach attire I had started gathering my things.
“Jay, can you take a break from that for a few minutes?” Balboa asked.
It was the first time since we had started seeing each other that Balboa had ever called me Jay like the others did.
“Sure what is it?”
“I know we’ve only been dating for a few days, but I feel like I’ve known you forever. Jaylyn Shepard, will you marry me?”
I was pretty much speechless at that point and didn’t say a word.
“Well?” Balboa asked as he opened up the Tiffany’s box to show me the three stoned emerald cut platinum engagement ring he had for me.
“I have to find my sister, I need my sister.” I said as I got to my feet, put my jeans on, holstered my gun next to where my badge sat on my jeans and went to search for Jenny and Jethro.
